What is VitalCast?
VitalCast reads your Apple Health data on your iPhone and writes you a plain-language briefing of what changed and what is worth a glance, daily, weekly, and monthly. It also lets you log the things Apple Health does not do well: medications, symptoms, and self-measured vitals. Everything runs on your device.
Is my health data private?
Yes. Your data stays on your iPhone. There is no account, nothing is uploaded to write your briefing, and there are no analytics or ad trackers. Optional sync runs only through your own private iCloud. See the privacy policy for details.
Is this just AI guessing about my health?
No. The numbers in your briefing are computed by deterministic code on your phone, not by a model. The on-device model only chooses the wording. Every research-backed insight traces to a real, named, peer-reviewed study, shown behind a "why this" chip. The model cannot invent a number or a medical claim.
Does VitalCast diagnose anything?
No. VitalCast describes and correlates your own data and offers general, research-backed context. It never diagnoses, names a condition, or recommends a treatment, and it always defers to a clinician.
VitalCast is not showing my data.
Open Settings inside VitalCast, tap Connect or refresh Apple Health, and grant the requested types. You can grant only some and the app still works. If you declined earlier, enable the types in the Apple Health app under Sharing, Apps, VitalCast.
What does VitalCast Pro include, and what does it cost?
The weekly briefing and core logging are free. Pro unlocks the daily and monthly briefings, all briefing tones, Trends, vitals logging, every add-on tool (Caffeine Window, Vitamin D, Cycle, and more), and the doctor-export PDF. Pricing is $2.99 USD per month or $19.99 USD per year, with a free week to start. Pro auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I manage or cancel Pro?
Pro is billed through Apple. To view, change, or cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select VitalCast to change plan or cancel.
You can also restore a purchase from VitalCast's Settings with Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.
How do I export or delete my data?
In VitalCast, open Settings, Privacy, Your data. You can export everything to a readable JSON file, delete any single category, or erase all of your health data from the device. There is no account to delete because there is none.
