VitalCast Support

VitalCast puts your medical records from every health system you have connected in Apple Health on one timeline: labs, medications, conditions, allergies and more, with the same lab charted across providers and years. It also reads your Apple Health data and writes you a plain-language briefing of what changed and what is worth a glance, and lets you log the things Apple Health does not do well: medications, symptoms, lab panels, and self-measured vitals. Everything runs on your device.

Yes. Your data, including every clinical record VitalCast reads, stays on your iPhone. There is no account, nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored in iCloud, and there are no analytics or ad trackers. VitalCast makes no network requests at all. The only thing that leaves the phone is your headline scores, sent directly to your own Apple Watch if you have one paired. See the privacy policy for details.

First add your providers in Apple's Health app: Health, your profile picture, Health Records, Add Account, then sign in to your provider's patient portal. Then in VitalCast open the Log tab, choose Records, and tap Connect my records. A separate permission sheet appears for clinical records; allow it and VitalCast imports what your providers share. If a provider is not listed in Health, Apple does not support it yet and VitalCast cannot read it. Records are read only: VitalCast can never change your provider's record.

Both are shown exactly as each lab printed them, labeled by lab, because labs use different methods and populations. VitalCast never picks one or invents its own range, and never says a value is normal or abnormal. It is a fair question for your clinician, and the appointment prep sheet will suggest asking it.

No. The numbers in your briefing are computed by deterministic code on your phone, not by a model. The on-device model only chooses the wording. Every research-backed insight traces to a real, named, peer-reviewed study, shown behind a "why this" chip. The model cannot invent a number or a medical claim.

No. VitalCast describes and correlates your own data and offers general, research-backed context. It never diagnoses, names a condition, or recommends a treatment, and it always defers to a clinician.

Open Settings inside VitalCast, tap Connect or refresh Apple Health, and grant the requested types. You can grant only some and the app still works. If you declined earlier, enable the types in the Apple Health app under Sharing, Apps, VitalCast.

The weekly briefing and core logging are free. Pro unlocks your medical records, Ask your data, the appointment prep sheet, the daily and monthly briefings, all briefing tones, Trends, vitals and lab logging, every add-on tool (Caffeine Window, Vitamin D, Cycle, and more), and the doctor-export PDF. Pricing is $3.99 USD per month or $29.99 USD per year, each with a free week for new subscribers, or a one-time $59.99 USD lifetime purchase that never renews. The two subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

In VitalCast, open Settings, Privacy, Your data. Export writes a readable JSON file of what you have logged in VitalCast: medications, symptoms, vitals, briefings, caffeine, cycle, lab panels, experiments and baselines. Imported medical records and Apple Health samples are not in the export, because they are not ours to hand back, they live in Apple Health and you can export them from there. You can also delete any single category, or erase everything VitalCast holds on the device in one action. There is no account to delete because there is none.
