What is Renewl?
Renewl is a private, on-device subscription and free-trial tracker for iPhone and Android. Snap a screenshot of a confirmation email, receipt, or bank statement, and on-device AI fills in the merchant, amount, billing cycle, and renewal or trial-end date. Renewl then reminds you before the charge hits, all without ever asking for a bank login.
Does Renewl connect to my bank?
No. Renewl never links to your bank and never asks for account credentials. It reads the receipts and screenshots you give it, entirely on your device. That is the whole point.
How does the screenshot scanning work?
On iPhone, Renewl uses Apple's Vision framework to read the text in your receipt, then Apple's on-device Foundation Models to pull out the details. On Android, Renewl uses Google's on-device ML Kit to read the text, then Android's on-device AICore (Gemini Nano) to pull out the details. Either way, everything happens on your device, the image is never uploaded, and you confirm the pre-filled details before anything is saved.
What is free, and what is Pro?
On iPhone, Free includes tracking for up to 5 subscriptions, renewal reminders, the quick-add gallery, the charge calendar, widgets, and search. Renewl Pro removes the cap and unlocks AI screenshot and share capture, free-trial cancellation alerts, the price-change watch, CSV/PDF export, and the full Insights dashboard.
On Android, Free includes tracking for up to 3 subscriptions with full renewal reminders. Renewl Pro removes the cap and unlocks AI screenshot scanning, the charge calendar and spend heatmap, home screen widgets, free-trial cancellation alerts, the price-change watch, CSV/PDF export, multi-currency tracking, pause/resume, and the Insights dashboard.
Renewl Pro is $2.99 USD per month or $19.99 USD per year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan, on both platforms. Your subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I manage or cancel Renewl Pro?
On iPhone, Pro is billed through Apple. To view, change, or cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select Renewl to change plan or cancel.
You can also visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
On Android, Pro is billed through Google Play. To view, change, or cancel:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon, then tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Renewl to change plan or cancel.
You can also visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
On either platform, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Does my data sync across devices?
On iPhone, yes. Renewl syncs through your private iCloud account using CloudKit. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest and is never shared with us or third parties. Make sure iCloud is signed in on each device. On Android, Renewl does not currently sync across devices; your data stays on the device you added it on. iPhone and Android also do not sync with each other, since they use separate, unrelated storage.
How do I restore Renewl Pro on a new device?
On iPhone, open Renewl, go to Settings, then tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple ID that purchased the subscription. On Android, Renewl checks your Google Play purchase automatically when you sign in with the Google account that bought Pro; if it doesn't pick it up right away, open Settings in Renewl and tap Restore purchases to re-check with Google Play.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you paid through, not the developer. For App Store purchases, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find the Renewl charge, and request a refund. For Google Play purchases, visit Google Play's refund help or request a refund from your Play Store order history.
