I have loved technology since I was a kid. I am in my mid-thirties now, and I spend my free
time building useful, helpful apps drawn from my own experiences, both past and present, as I
keep growing in my professional career. The writing here comes from the same place: things I
had to figure out for myself, explained the way I wish someone had explained them to me.
I write about consumer tech and gadgets, on-device AI, long-term investing, digital privacy,
and your rights at work. I try to keep it plain, honest, and free of hype. When a piece touches
money or health, I keep it to general information and point you to a professional for decisions
about your own situation, because that is the responsible thing to do.
On the apps side, I run JC Mobile App Studio, a one-person iOS studio. The apps
are built to run on-device wherever possible, with no ad tracking inside them. You can
browse the apps here, or read
the full blog archive.
A note on the name: I write as "Joe C." for privacy. It is a real, consistent byline, just not
my full legal name. Questions or corrections are always welcome at
contact@jcmobileappstudio.com.
